It is with deep sorrow that we join the Universal Church in mourning the passing of our Holy Father, Pope Francis.
We will have an hour of prayer from 7-8 pm tonight (April 21) to pray for Pope Francis.
Bishop Michael Martin also announced that the diocese will offer a special Mass for the deceased pope at 7 pm, Wednesday, April 23, here at St. Mark.
As we go through this period of transition, it's important to pray.
Pray for the repose of the soul of our Holy Father, but to also pray for those cardinals who are entrusted with the responsibility of being guided by the Holy Spirit in choosing the next shepherd of the Universal Church.
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
