Kindergarten - 6th Grade 


Here is the strong foundation upon which everything of importance will build!

 

Parents are the primary teachers of faith, and we aim to provide quality faith formation education as a support to your family as well as opportunities to gather and connect through service, social, and liturgical events.

  • Kindergarten is optional and 1st Grade is the formal beginning of your child’s faith education journey. 
  • Each year through 6th grade is important.           
  • Below are the options for students this year:


K- 6th Grade
In Person


K-6 in-person grade level instruction with family learning, service, and social events.

 


Located at St. Mark Catholic School

  • Sunday 6:15 - 7:30 pm (1-6)
  • Monday 4:30 - 5:45 pm (1-6)

3rd - 6th Grade
Online


3-6 online program by grade level with family learning, service, and social events

 


Location: Remote

Online instruction and electronic progress reports sent to Dept. of Faith Formation.

Pathways

Pathways is for 3rd Grade or older students who are Baptized, but have not yet received Sacraments of Reconciliation or Holy Communion.

RCIC


The Rite of Christian Initiation for Children is for students 7 years and older who are not yet Baptized and also seek other sacraments of initiation.

****We are asking all families to complete 4 verifiable activities in the life of the parish. Options are available in the faith formation calendar and future option may be made available throughout the year.

7th -8th Grade (Confirmation Prep)


Here students are “set forth” to use and apply their sacramental gifts, develop their personal relationship with God, and to discern God’s plan for them. 

 

Preparation for Confirmation is based upon spiritual readiness, not academic years. 7th Grade may be the formal beginning of the two (2) year Confirmation process, with celebrating Confirmation at the end of the 8th grade year. 

7th Grade (Year I) and Youth Ministry:


Located in the St Mark Catholic School Gym

  • Sunday at 9:15 - 10:30 a.m.
  • Sunday at 6:15 - 7:30 p.m.

8th Grade (Year II)


Located in the St Mark Catholic School Gym

  • Sunday at 9:15 - 10:30 a.m.
  • Sunday at 6:15 - 7:30 p.m.

Attend information meetings, liturgical rites, 4 step up sessions, Confirmation focus sessions, discernment, retreat, choose saint, and participate in service.

 

RCIA Teens:


The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults(Teens) is to prepare high school youth for the sacraments of initiation: Baptism, First Eucharist and Confirmation. This may include one or all of the sacraments depending upon where the teen is on their faith journey.

9th- 12th Grade

 

The faith journey continues for students beyond Confirmation with Life Teen through 12th grade, and hopefully beyond.

Life Teen

A Eucharist-centered movement within the Roman Catholic Church, Life Teen leads teenagers and their families into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church. With the Blessed Virgin Mary as our intercessor and guide, Life Teen seeks to unleash the fullness of the Sacramental power present within the young Church.



Join us every Sunday evening after the 5PM Mass from 6:15 - 8:00 p.m. for dinner, fellowship, prayer and fun!
